Unique Woven Art - Horizon

The inspiration for my work comes from my love of the sea and spending time at my favourite beach in Cornwall. 'Horizon' shows off the stunning colours found when you stand and look out over the beach and onto the horizon where the sea meets the sky. From warm golden tones in the sand, to soft turquoise and whites in the shallow water and whites of the waves. Then onto the darker blues which are further out to sea in the distance, touching the brighter blues of the sky. There is even a seagull captured in the sky!

I thoroughly enjoy re-working these beautiful Cornish landscapes in an abstract way through mixed media, using designer fabrics I have in my studio. Each piece is unique with intricate coloured threads worked into the woven fabrics.

One-off, framed with a lime washed box frame, approximately 38 x 38 cms.
